Summer style from sun up to sun down ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒš

Happy Wednesday all my little Chiquita bananas! I hope this post finds you well! Itโ€™s been a few days since my last post but a lot has gone on. I started the summer semester & that means a little pre-semester mental breakdown was in order, and then we all had the lovely cold front for the past four days.. 48 degrees in June? *It figures too, I had literally JUST packed up all my winter shit. Essentially, the cold was my fault, I jinxed it. Sorry to all who were affected.* As my way of protesting the winterโ€™s refusal to leave & give way to warmer weather, I put together some versatile ensembles; hence “summer style for sun up to sun down”. You can wear them to the beach by day, & out to the club with the girls at night.

I giggle a bit as I say โ€œclubโ€ because I rarely go out last 9 PM anymore. I wish I could blame the pandemic for that, but I think itโ€™s just because Iโ€™m losing my youth. And I say that Iโ€™m losing my youth, because it canโ€™t possibly be from not being fun. Iโ€™m a fuckinโ€™ blast, bitches.

Letโ€™s hang out soon. Hit me up. ๐Ÿ“ฑ

Lime love for sunrise or sunset
Lime love. ๐Ÿ‹ (Express) I had to put a lemon here because they donโ€™t have a lime emoji. This particular dress was a thrift buy, but you can find a body con style in this color here.

I NEVER used to buy yellow/lime green/ANY neon colors – I donโ€™t know why, theyโ€™ve just never appealed to me. When I saw this on the rack & started yelling at myself in my own head (as I often do, Iโ€™m realizing) because I swore I was going to start implementing more โ€œcolorโ€ into my wardrobe. I grabbed it & expected to absolutely hate it once I tried it on, but I couldnโ€™t have been more wrong. Absolutely LOVED the dress & THE COLOR. Prepare yourself to see more lime green in future posts baybiii.

You can pull this on over a swimsuit for the beach at sun up, or when you grab a frozen cocktail on the boardwalk after sun down. (Bringing me back to my Jersey Shore days.. sigh. A much simpler time.)

sun up or sun down Summer stripes
Summer stripes ๐Ÿฆ“ (Philosophy) a simple yet cute tank dress that I picked up in a NEW thrift store in town. A similar style can be found here.

If thereโ€™s any color combination everyone should have in some type of clothing format, itโ€™s white with black stripes. I have this in t-shirt form & now in dress form. Something about it, with a denim jacket over it, just really does something for me. it really speaks to me on a deeper level, which is something I feel as if clothing shouldnโ€™t be able to do. But it does.

Throw it on over a bikini and before heading to drinks. AND dinner. Because not eating before drinking would be a rookie move, & weโ€™re not rookies around here, honey.

Ocean hues for the sun rise or the sun set
Ocean hues ๐ŸŒŠ (Monteau) another thrift store purchase (surprise, surprise.) Peep a VERY cute similar style here.

If thereโ€™s a secondary color I wear most often next to black, it would be blue. Mostly navy blues. This shade of blue is my absolute favorite because it says something different yet relevant in every season you wear it. In the fall, it pops against all the browns, oranges, & reds, in the winter itโ€™s a complimentary color to a snowy backdrop; in the spring, itโ€™s the blue sky finally showing itself after a long winter. And in the summer, itโ€™s the ocean, itโ€™s the pool, itโ€™s the blue curaรงao in your pretty poolside beverage.

For this dress, Iโ€™d probably put it over a bikini in the AM then switch the bikini out for a bralette in the PM.

a sultry adult onesie that is sun up or sun down worthy
Sultry ๐Ÿ”ฅ this black romper is unbranded, but hereโ€™s an inexpensive option that is just as cute.

Ladies, I legit used to talk so much shit about rompers. I never envisioned me wearing one because they just present a lot of problems to me that requires too much effort to resolve. (If youโ€™d like to hear my rant about rompah probz, click here to read my post about it.)

Homegirl has since caved because truthfully, Iโ€™m kind of lazy. I like dresses because I donโ€™t have to wear pants. I now enjoy rompers because I just step into them, & boom. Fully dressed. So what if I have to take all my clothes off just to urinate?

ย You can easily dress this little number up with a statement necklace & heels (low heels, because otherwise Iโ€™ll break my hip), & dressed down over a swimsuit & a pair of flip-flops. 100% summer style for sun up to sun down, and I’m lovin’ it.

romper to wear at sun down
๐Ÿ’‹ (unbranded) & another thrift store buy (last week)! I couldnโ€™t locate the same romper for yโ€™all per se, but I did find one that you can wear poolside & then out for a night on the town (because the above option is little too fancy for the pool).

ANOTHER outfit I bought expecting to detest. Iโ€™ve surprised myself twice in one shopping trip, who wouldโ€™ve thought.

THIS romper is the PERFECT summer date night option. Perfect with a nicer pair of strappy sandals. Or if you want to to be daring, a pair of heels. I felt like a new woman, because I never typically wear outfits like this one. Forget summer style for sun up to sun down, this one is 100% for sunset.
