Happy March, baby dolls! We’re one step closer to warmer temperatures, & I cannot WAIT. I’m not built for the cold whatsoever, so it’ll be nice to finally venture outdoors again. In the meantime, March means spring cleaning & further expansion on my plan for 2022 – making my life easier on a daily basis to take back some time, so I can redistribute it elsewhere! Today’s post features my daily makeup essentials – the stuff I use pretty much every morning.  Not only are they perfect because they are all under $25 & therefore, cost effective.. but I’ve used the majority of them for YEARS now so I know they get the job DONE.

Regardless of whether you wear a lot of makeup or just have 1-2 holy grail products… knowing what to reach for (& knowing where it is) as you get ready to take on your day, is vital. This is especially important for me to have established & written in stone, because if not, I will deviate from the plan & decide to add in other products/try a new makeup trick I saw on YouTube the day prior/lose track of time & run late to whatever I have going on. The cosmetics listed below have become my constants, & if you’re in the market for essentials to add to your own routine.. here are some products that won’t ever let you down:

primers tinted moisturizer concealer color correcting blush bronzerELF SOOTHING PRIMER ($7.00) – I’ve tried a ton of primers & I always find myself circling back to this one. It smooths out your face & gets rid of big pores/inflamed skin. This primer is an essential first step of your routine, & it’ll keep your makeup looking fresh all day!

WET N WILD TINTED HYDRATOR ($6.49) – I’ve always had a strained relationship with foundation because my skin has the tendency to be overdramatic. I was excited to see what this fairly new tinted moisturizer could do. & honey, lemme tell you… it does everything. A thin layer of this stuff covers any imperfections, the hyaluronic acid in it plumps up your skin beautifully, & your face doesn’t feel weighed down.

LUMENE COLOR CORRECTING CREAM ($17.90) – the Mother of all CC creams. Seamless, weightless, tone-adjusting finish. Works miracles on dark circles. PERFECT for sensitive skin. SPF 20. I can’t always find it in stores though, so I alternate between this & the wet n wild tinted moisturizer. Daily makeup essentials GOAT.

ELF HYDRATING CAMO CONCEALER ($6.00) – I typically only use this if I’m looking especially sleep deprived (for under eye circles), & when I’m adding a little highlight underneath my brows. One of the only concealers I’ve used that actually blends well, & doesn’t sink into pores/lines by lunchtime. You don’t need to go crazy either – a smidgen goes a long way!

BH COSMETICS SHADE & DEFINE PALETTE ($12.00) – One palette contours, highlights, sets, & corrects without overpowering. I especially love the banana powder – it brightens without making me look jaundiced. *It’s sad to know I’m THAT pale, that any other banana powders make me look like my liver is not functioning properly.

L’OREAL TRUE MATCH BLUSH ($7.97) – This particular shade is called “baby blossom”. It’s the perfect shade if you’re especially fair skinned, or if you’re looking for a subtle flush. I don’t wear blush all the time (I opt for highlighter) but this one is the only one I’ll use when the occasion calls for it. Blends better than any other blush I’ve used!

WET N WILD COLOR ICON BRONZER ($5.99) – This shade is called “Ticket to Brazil”. This is the ONLY bronzer that I can use on my face during the winter time, & the only one that doesn’t make my skin look orange. Part of my daily makeup essentials since I was a teenager, which is a longer time than I’d like to admit.

URBAN DECAY EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION ($12.00) – THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. Keeps eyeshadow/liner in place & on point all day long, even when it’s 90 degrees outside & the rest of your makeup is sliding off. A full sized tube of is $24.00, but Sephora & Ulta have trial sizes for $14.00 that last for awhile. Worth every penny in my opinion!

daily makeup essentials lip eye setting spray
MAYBELLINE LIFTER GLOSS ($6.98) – Tried this stuff on a whim & fell in love. Hydrates & plumps as promised, easy to apply & remove with ZERO stickiness.

PHYSICIANS FORMULA ULTRA FINE LIQUID LINER ($11.99) – I recently made the switch to this eyeliner after I started searching for a pen-like option.. & haven’t looked back. Stays in place all day without smudging, color doesn’t fade, & the pen allows for better control during application. It also has a serum in it that enhances your eyelashes!

URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY ($15.00) – I’m obsessed with this spray. I tried it for the first time last summer, when I was en route to an outdoor wedding.. & it was SO HOT OUTSIDE. I was pissed I even took the time to put makeup on because I knew it was going to melt off within 15 minutes of exiting the car. I sprayed my face before walking into the wedding, & was absolutely stounded to see my makeup still in tact a few hours later. The price tag makes me a little nauseous (a full bottle is $33.00) but Sephora & Ulta both sell a trial bottle for $15.00 that can hold you over for a few applications.

MAYBELLINE GREAT LASH MASCARA ($4.19) – I get the color “brownish black” & use it on my eyebrows. It helps keep them in place & fills in any sparse areas quite nicely. It’s does a better job then the stuff that’s supposedly formulated FOR your eyebrows, & it’s cheaper! *Use a q-tip to get any excess formula off skin, & a clean spoolie brush to disperse the product over brows evenly.

L’OREAL TELESCOPIC MASCARA ($8.49) – I have tried every mascara on the market at this point, & this one rules the mascara kingdom. It coats every lash with a single application (even the tiny ones in the far corner of your eye & all bottom lashes) keeps them all standing upright & clump-free, & it doesn’t flake off after multiple applications or all-day wear. Smudge-proof af, & has resided on my daily makeup essentials list since 2010.

You cannot go wrong (or bankrupt) with any of the options on this list! What are some of YOUR daily essentials?
